Offering insurance to employees is the responsible thing to do, especially if you are small enough that it isn’t required. Just make sure you understand exactly what you are getting and your employees do as well. Things to know: if they are selling you insurance they cannot also be an advocate; many brokers don’t really understand it either; and how you present information to your employees matters.
